Rock & Roll Freedom Show

Imagine arriving to a concert venue and at once you are adopted into Misty Gonzales’s family of fans called “Freedom Children.” As a new “Freedom Child” you are transformed into a free-spirited, rock & roll flowerchild.

Leaving your world behind, you enter the world of love, freedom, and the power of music; you’ve just checked-in to Misty Gonzales’s “Rock & Roll Freedom Show!”

Lights dim and colorful strobes peak out from behind the curtains. Your ears are greeted with a hypnotizing grove from musicians on stage, and a hula-hoopist draws you into the dream. Down from the sky trickle aerial performers, and pole dancers twirl about as Misty’s voice begins to fill the room.

Energy erupts on stage when Misty dives into her original set of rock & roll tunes. Painted dancers skip across the stage twirling illuminated hula-hoops, and a contortionist perches upon a table twisting her body. A bubbly stilt walker flirts with the crowd as Misty commands the stage. Unicyclists happily deliver daisies and pedals about. A psychedelic backdrop stretches its loving arms around the stage, filling it with smoky red and blue lights, and projected images further communicate Misty’s soulful lyrics.

Lose yourself in this world of freedom and rock & roll. Let Misty’s bluesy vocals transform you into another time. A time when Janis Joplin ruled the world and all were focused on love and peace. Welcome to the “Rock & Roll Freedom Show!”

“Hot 100 Artist, Misty Gonzales, dreams large. She and Tom Wilson, her partner in Freedom Child Entertainment, conjured an epic rock opera inspired by the Beatles’ “Love” Cirque de Solei. Called Rock & Roll Freedom Show, it recently debuted at the Key Club located on the infamous Sunset Strip in Hollywood, CA. The Musical production incorporated high-flying aerialists, pole dancers, stilt walkers, and songs from Misty Gonzales’s forth coming album. The psychedelic extravaganza wowed the crowd and charmed everyone.”

“Misty Gonzales’s music is like a rocking blast from the past. When I first heard “Go-Getter” my first thought was, “She rocks like Ted Nugent with the voice quality of Stevie Nicks and Steven Tyler’s charisma!”
—Debbie Turner, The Sound of Music

“Take the heart of Joplin, the confidence of a wiz kid at a spelling bee, the mindset of the 60′s, and you’ll find Misty Gonzales at home on the stage. She and her Rock & Roll Freedom Show transformed L.A.’s Key Club into a Cirque du Solei, hallucinogenic, musical time for a cause for Haiti.”
—Kendra Rae Beltran, American Chronicle

“The Rock & Roll Freedom Show starring the 1960′s/70′s channeling vocal goddess Misty Gonzales, the “hippie rock queen”, is a storyline of life’s journey in pursuing a dream. With a cast of aerialists, acrobats, trapeze artists, rope artists, a unicyclist, and stilt walkers, the cast compliments the musicianship of the band which is tightly wound with it’s ability to move with the storyline in a fluid juxtaposition of rock & roll and theater – a perfect match. Misty reminded me of whaling Robert Plant, in stance and in form, but always in the feminine; Plant’s better half.”
—Anthony McBride, VS Magazine

“Misty Gonzales transports listeners to the heyday of Bill Graham’s Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco; a place where you could smoke a little doobie and dance with flowers in your hair. It’s a breakthrough performance by a breakout artist.”
—Bernard Baur, Music Connection Magazine

“Rock and Roll Freedom Show is an experience, an exhibition of serious artistic proportions. From the music, the merch, right down to the concert poster itself, this is a psychedelic road trip where freedom makes exceptional art.”
—Brian Julianel, ThatBrand@
